Microsoft added a feature where saving attachments of specific extensions is disabled. In order to re-enable attachments to be
saved via Outlook Express, you must go to  the Tools -> Options -> Security tab and uncheck the box that says, "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus."

After that you will be able to save attachments of all file types in Outlook Express.
