How to install Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008

In order to install SQL Server Express 2008 there are a few prerequisites.

  1. The account that you log into your computer with needs to be a member of the local Administrators group.
  2. Your account needs to have a password.
  3. You need to browse to http://update.microsoft.com/ and install all the critical and recommended updates.

 

Once these things have been done you can follow the attached instructions below for installing Microsoft SQL Server Express 2008.
