Scanning documents automatically
Both Xerox copiers are able to scan either single-sided or double-sided originals. If your document is in a book or journal, please photocopy itfirst to create an "original" then use these directions for scanning.
1. Enter your copy code.
2. Enter your image settings.
Press Network Scanning, then Image Adjustment. Select the choice below that matches your original:
- 1 sided
- 2 sided
- 2 sided, rotated (landscape)
Press Save.
3. Name your document.
Press Document Name. A keyboard will appear. Use the backspace key to delete the default wording. Type in the new name and press Save.
4. Scan your original.
Place your original in the top feeder, face up. Press Start. The Xerox will scan both sides automatically and save all the pages, in order, under the filename you specified.
5. Scan your next document or press Clear All and log out.
6. Retrieve your scans.
To retrieve your scanned images, go to N:\\Scans on Xerox Copier\\ and find your filename. Open your file and save a copy to your directory.
NOTE: Scans may not be re-saved to the scan folder or deleted. From time to time, we will delete scans to make room in the scan folder. So pick up your scans quickly!
