Pay-for-Print Printing in the iSchool Labs

The iSchool labs have a Pay-for-Print system. The printers are managed by UW Copy Services. You need to have a UW Copy Services copy card to use the printers. The cost per page is 10 cents. When you print, you will be asked to enter your name and a name for your document. When you are ready to pick up your printout, go to the printer and place your copy card into the card reader. The monitor next to the printer will list your name and the documents you have sent to the print queue. You must release the documents that you want to print from the list. The appropriate charge will be deducted from your card.

The printers in the TE Lab and Computer Classroom are both sent to the same print queue. You can release your documents for printing from either printer.

If you need a copy card, there is a copy-card dispenser in the Server room (MGH 430b) in the TE Lab. Each card is $5.00. The card can also be used in other UW Copy Services locations across campus, including libraries and computer labs. If you want to add money to an existing card, you can do that in the SACG lab on the first floor of Mary Gates Hall or at the Copy Center on the First Floor of Odegaard Library.
