How to burn an ISO file with Roxio or ISO Recorder
An ISO file is a disk image that needs to be burned to a CD or DVD to access the data in it. (If you would like to just mount the file and not burn a disc, see this article.) Note: Unlike a regular data file, an ISO cannot be dragged and dropped onto a disc. It needs to be burned in a specific way. If you have access to the iSchool computer labs, you can use Roxio. Otherwise, you can download and install ISO Recorder.
Roxio instructions
Double-click your ISO file. Roxio will open and give you a screen that looks like this.
Then insert your disk and hit the red burn button at the lower right. Depending on the size of the ISO and the speed of your burner, this may take a little bit.
The disc will eject when the burning is done.
ISO Recorder instructions
Download and install ISO Recorder. There will be two options for installing inside the zip: the .msi file and the .exe file. If possible, use the .msi file.
Double-click on your ISO file. ISO Recorder will give you a screen that looks like this.
Hit Next, and wait for your disc to burn. It will eject when it is finished.
